Meaningful Use of certified EHR technology:
For physicians to take advantage of incentives, they must be able to demonstrate "meaningful use" of health information technology:
- The EHR is being used to e-prescribe
- The EHR is connected to provide electronic exchange of health information to improve quality and promote care coordination
- The EHR is able to report on clinical quality measures as specified by the Secretary

Healthcare Solutions Company Brings 35 New Jobs to Lancaster

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Lancaster County Economic Development Office today announced that Integrated Healthcare Solutions (IHS) will locate a new facility in Lancaster County. This announcement follows the announcement last week that the URS Washington Division will locate the URS Nuclear Center in Lancaster County creating 400 new jobs. IHS offers a complete, cost-effective electronic medical records and practice management solutions. The company will invest approximately $470,000 and create 35 new high-paying jobs.
"As we work to compete in the global economy, our ability to diversify our economy and enhance the skills within our workforce is increasingly important. Today's announcement speaks to our success in that regard. As well, it demonstrates that our efforts to improve the state's economic soil conditions are working to attract investment and create new jobs. We remain committed to continuing these efforts to keep growing opportunities throughout South Carolina," said Gov. Mark Sanford.
Integrated Healthcare Solutions delivers an extraordinary solution to hospitals and physician group practices looking for RHIO (Regional Health Information Organizations)/clinical interoperability solutions as well as electronic medical record (EMR) systems and advanced practice management systems. IHS has consistently created value for physician groups by effectively becoming a single-source for bundled (EMR, EPM, Interoperability, Benchmarking, and Revenue Cycle Management) software solutions.
